my partner of 12 n hald yrs has just had tests for lung cancer, and its frightening me so much. He has had a broncoscopy ( not too sure on the spelling) and also a cat scan and we get the results next tues. It seems to much to take in and we are in limbo at the moment, but my head is all over the place with thoughts and I just dont know what to do for the best. He wont tell any of his family yet, although he said it was ok for me to tell mine.

Ive read on here the different stages and it all seems very scary indeed,...after reading some of the other posts, my post seems a bit insufficent as we still dont know for sure if he has got lung cancer or not.

But it may just help me a little to chat with other people in a similar situation for guidance or just a chat.

Thanks in advance to anyone that replies to this post.

Hi Jackie

So sorry to have read your post, and the worry and stress of worry is something everyone has in common if we come onto this site.

I have no experience of this type of cancer, but my father was diagnosed with a different type on Xmas Eve 2009..... I suspect we all go through much the same emotions on these types of journey. However, I am certain that you will receive support, advice and help from other members.

Just wanted to say you are not alone.

Regards and best wishes

Hi Jackie

Just been reading about your partner. How are things? My husband has just been diagnosed with lung cancer with links to the liver. Going for a biopsy 6th May to see what treatment will be on offer. This is so worrying for both of us and I am sure you felt the same. How is your partner now? We find that this has taken our lives over completely and we can think of nothing else. Did you find the same and have you come to terms with it yet?
