Just joined the forum today.
I'm 65, had breast cancer in 2000, good recovery, had surgery, radiotherapy and no problems afterwards but in the last 2 months I've been told that my breast cancer has come back with more serious secondaries in my lung.
I'm being treated with a hormone called Armidex rather than chemo as my consultant has great faith in this hormone. My difficulty is breathing techniques and I'm still quite weak in my legs and would dearly like to chat with somebody who is experiencing the same difficulty.
I've recently had to go on an anti depressant (Martazepine) for anxiety and weepiness but I'm told I can stop that in a few months time. Have had difficulty over the past month or so with various infections which I think has held me back but hopefully I can regain my strength and boost my immune system. I've dropped down about 2 stone in weight. I now weigh 8 stones and am desperately trying to put some weight on again but because I am naturally a healthy eater I find it hard to indulge in too much high calorie foods.
Any advice? Many thanks in advance
Audrey
