Hi Zoe, This could be a cyst or fatty tissue or anything. You say it has started to hurt - well I would make another appointment and go back to your GP and tell him. It does not matter if the six weeks is not up yet what matters is it has started to hurt and needs to be relooked at again. Breast cancer is only one of many things it could be so take heart but do go back as soon as you can just to be on the safe side and to put your mind at rest. Take care. Bubbles.

I had a lump in my breast when I was 19. I was very worried but just kept it to myself and got more and more worried. I finally went to my doctor who referred me to our local hospital for more tests.

It was just a fibrous lump - nothing sinister . I am 40 now and it is still there - no bigger no smaller - just there.

I know what it is and I am not afraid of it now - I regret all those months of worry by not going to the doctor earlier.
